Who do you blame for Enkidu’s Death ?

Victoria Escamilla 10/16/18 English 9       I blame Ishtar, and the other gods at the council because, Ishtar was the reason because the Bull of Heaven was sent down for example in tablet 6 it states , “ Give me the Bull of Heaven father, she insisted I want to trample Gilgamesh the arrogant one, the Bull of Heaven will not only go after Gilgamesh warned Anu”. A way the gods at the council were to blame because in tablet 7 it states “ one of these two must die let it be Enkidu”. These gods are the reason of Enkidu’s death because, Ishtar convinced her father to give her the Bull of Heaven to attack Gilgamesh but was warned the Bull wouldn’t only go after Gilgamesh, but she didn’t care, and Enkidu killing the Bull of Heaven was the reason the council wanted to kill Enkidu.

WHO DO WE BLAME FOR ENKIDU’S DEATH

Victoria Escamilla      10/8/18      English 9          The person I blame for Enkidu’s death would be, Ishtar. This is because, Ishtar went to heaven to complain to her father Anu, and asked him for the Bull of Heaven to kill Gilgamesh. For example in tablet 6 it states “Give me the Bull of Heaven” she insisted.” I want to trample Gilgamesh the arrogant one” “The Bull of Heaven will not only trample Gilgamesh”, warned Anu”. The final moment of Enkidu, and Gilgamesh answer that hero’s aren’t always heroic. This is because the final moments of Enkidu, and Gilgamesh were that, although they defeated the Bull of Heaven the next day Enkidu, and Gilgamesh were at the council planned by the gods of heaven to see which one would die, out of, Enkidu, and Gilgamesh, which at the end they chose Enkidu to die.

GILGAMESH AND ENKIDU

Victoria Escamilla  10/3/18 English 9  Compare how Gilgamesh and Enkidu traits are alike and different ?          In the story the characters Gilgamesh caused more chaos then good, and Enkidu was sent by the goddess Aruru to fight Gilgamesh. Both characters are very strong characters. For example in the text it states on tablet 1 “ Gilgamesh strongest of all!” And Enkidu it says also in tablet 1 “ The goddess Aruru... fashioned a wild man named Enkidu”. Although both characters are a little alike they are also different as well, for example in the text it states that Gilgamesh abused his power and strength for example in tablet 1 it states “ He ripped sons from their fathers and demanded virgins from their husbands on their wedding nights” another quote to show that Gilgamesh abused his power was also in tablet 1,”His tyranny and savagery grew. The women and old ones complained to the gods,”shouldn’t Gilgamesh be our shepherd, the pr...

Pixar Story Spine

Victoria  Escamilla 9/30/18 Prompts: How does the Pixar story spine apply to the text we have been examining? How does the  Pixar story spine apply  to “The Epic of Gilgamesh”?             The Pixar story spine applys to the text we have been examining because, the hero’s journey usually starts off with something like “Once upon a time there was” or “ One day”, this is because the hero’s journey usually starts off at the very beginning when the hero was a young child, or when their about to find out something about themselves, which triggers their journey to start. The Pixar story spine apply to “The Epic of Gilgamesh” because in the stanza it starts off with, “This is the story of a man who knew, all that could be known” that  line applys to the Pixar story spine, because that line is just like most lines that start of a hero’s journey, and also that line is like “One day” this is because, both have that feeling...

HARRY POTTER AND THE HERO'S JOURNEY

Victoria Escamilla English 9 9/23/18            In the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone”, there is a scene when Dumbledore shows up to the Dursley’s house, which is Harry’s adoptive family,  the reason Dumbledore shows up to there house is because of the many failed attempts of sending Harry letter saying he’s been accepted to, Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when Dumbledore goes to Harry’s house, he tells Harry he’s a wizard. This scene would be considered as Harry’s “call to adventure”, this is because this is the start of Harry’s journey into becoming a wizard, through Harry’s journey he’s going to go through many challenges, but this will prepare him for what’s to come further into his journey.

TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM

Victoria Escamilla English 9 9/17/18 How  - How could you as a student benefit from having a school-provided iPad? - How could this change your classes? - How could this change the way you learn?       Having a school- provided iPad could benefit me as a student by, me not having to carry around heavy textbooks, and notebooks, but instead having to carry an iPad would be way easier to climb up the stairs, and walk to my classes, and also less things for me to take home. This would change my classes because, now instead of taking out notebooks and textbooks to take notes on a new lesson now I can just go to whatever I have to go to, to learn about a lesson and just type my notes on google docs or wherever I need to take notes. This could change the way I learn because, since I’m so used to to taking out a textbook and writing down my notes I won’t have to do that anymore now it’s going to be a new experience and I’ll have to adjust to this. could you as a stu...
