Prompts: How does the Pixar story spine apply to the text we have been examining?

How does the  Pixar story spine apply  to “The Epic of Gilgamesh”?



            The Pixar story spine applys to the text we have been examining because, the hero’s journey usually starts off with something like “Once upon a time there was” or “ One day”, this is because the hero’s journey usually starts off at the very beginning when the hero was a young child, or when their about to find out something about themselves, which triggers their journey to start. The Pixar story spine apply to “The Epic of Gilgamesh” because in the stanza it starts off with, “This is the story of a man who knew, all that could be known” that  line applys to the Pixar story spine, because that line is just like most lines that start of a hero’s journey, and also that line is like “One day” this is because, both have that feeling of the start of a journey of someone’s life story, or how they got to where they are toda, and the amount of struggles they took on there journey.

Victoria Escamilla 3/8/19 English 9             High school students should read the American "classics" because, it helps students in this generation to  appreciate literature,and reading since current day literate isn't how it used to be unlike classic literature which shows how old literature used to be. For example on the second page of the article in the 3rd paragraph it states." In this age of declining literacy, a primary function of school should be first to ignite an appreciation for reading. Once students love to read, they will be more likely and able to give a work of literature from another time, place and culture a try". Another reason high school students should read the "classics" is because, it will help students to improve upon their reading skills, and there love for reading.
